Haven't seen an event in over a week, what's up?
People just ignored the writing on the wall. You knew it was over when they were selling event cards in the FP Shop then the update where Invite and Facebook disapeared to be replaced by "ending" Credits, then you knew it was over, just way too many people on crack with lots of money to throw away on things that were virtual and did not own.
Grind out the L's for free to get a bit more enjoyment. Encounters give out 200FP, Gold Tokens are 25FP, and almost all tokens i've pulled have been L or E-L. I've got so many that I don't have room for them all lol!
They should just remove the total card barrier at this point. Who cares if it's balanced, only diehards are still playing anyway!
I had to call Google twice to get a refund for October (I probably could've pushed at gotten the $20 I spent in September for the Golobulus event, but I didn't think that was right), but I eventually did get it. By the time I made the second call, they were already aware of the issue as soon as I mentioned the game. They have gotten a TON of calls about this, and they are none to happy with the way DeNa and Mobage handled this, because it's costing THEM money.
I honestly think this was supposed to be a crowd funding kind of deal. I think the game wasn't particularly profitable, so they came up with the "flash sales" as a way to set a push goal and raise money. It didn't work, and the only thing to do at that point was close up shop. It's unfortunate, but that's how business works. The thing is, with crowd funding, when donation goals aren't met, people get their money back. That's what should happen in this case.
Bottom line here, though, is I'm gonna miss the game. I've even been taking screen shots of my favorite cards to keep around! They aren't animated, but it's the best I can do.
The question for me is, how can Transformers Legends, which has been run terribly (the power creep has ruined the game), outlast GI Joe? Similar mechanics, but I would argue the content in Gi Joe is far superior. Is it solely because of the success of the TF movies?
Users saw Countdown for what he was - a count down for the end of the October Flagg Point event. That's why Google and Apple have spent the last 18 hours coughing up refunds for October purchases.
Haha, the order of placement of a card in the FP shop was a message from the devs, so that players would know not to spend money on the sale the devs had just launched? Seems legit.
Actually, Countdown was a replacement character, like Lowlight, M& J, and Destro. Thus the capital letters to make him different from the original version. Fun fact - you can get the new version with gold tokens now.
I wouldn't worry too much about all of the naive people who shouted you down. It sounds like the refund money is flowing readily from Google, Apple, credit card companies, etc.
This. I'd rather have the card limit doubled than the amount of health restored by Investigation Points haha.

Laugh all you want, but you are missing the point. The devs NEVER put a card at the bottom of the FP shop, so clearly it had some significance, and I believe it was far beyond just the October sale. Maybe it wasn't a countdown to the end, but perhaps it was a countdown to the date where a decision had to be made. And he was not a replacement. Lowlight, M&J, Destro all had their old cards removed from circulation. No longer pullable, no longer tradeable. They did not do that with COUNTDOWN.
I'm not at all worried about the naive ones. I am glad, however, that they are getting their refunds. I only wish it came from Mobage/DeNA, instead of Apple, Google, etc.
Yeah, Mobage/DeNa have been completely ridiculous about the whole thing. I've exchanged emails with 3 different reps, and all of them have basically said "We aren't giving out refunds because a game ended, we can't be responsible for what the dev teams do". They completely miss the point, and it's awful. I'm incredibly glad Google and Apple are stepping up to correct the wrong being perpetrated here, because they absolutely DON'T have to do that.
I'll say this much, though. I will never download another Mobage game ever again. I'm done with that ridiculous company.
Hey folks,
Just signing in to say hello and wish everyone well. I started the game on day one (while on vacation lol) and have enjoyed and been obsessed ever since. In some ways, this is a blessing as I just couldn't quit, so now I am having my hand forced. Google was awesome and refunded my last 10 purchases (which were in September) so I got $235 back. Damn you Law and Order!
To all of you, I wish you the absolute best. Thank you for letting me lead the groups for as long as I did. I wanted to bring people together and it seemed to help make a solid community.
May you all have a wonderful life =)
